I thought I’d share some of my unsuspected depth with the world.

Welcome to “All is Yar,” a space devoted to enjoying life in all ways big and small, cheap or expensive, highbrow and low. Here, you can find my reviews, musings, and rants about music (primarily), as well as food, drink, architecture, clothes, gadgets, cars (. . . is it me, or is this list is starting to sound like Maxim magazine’s original raison d’etre that they used to put on the top of every issue?).

I had formal studies in music (piano and voice) and even made some money at it. Eventually, though, I got good enough to realize that I wasn’t actually good enough to make the kind of living I wanted to make as a performer, so I moved on to other things.  I live in Southern California, travel throughout the US relatively frequently and throughout the globe when time and budget will allow.  Life is good.
